We welcome Carmen D. Vega-Bar-achowitz, from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, as the Column Coordinator in the area of Outcomes Measurement and Management.
For many of us, the new year brings many opportunities for change, for improvement, and for embarking on activities that will contribute to the future of our discipline for the benefit of our patients. This new year also represents a new millennium, which forces even the most reluctant souls to reflect on the past and look forward to a new direction. This urge to structure positive changes gives us the opportunity to alter aspects of our professional routines. As administrators, supervisors and leaders, we are in a unique position to influence others in a direction that leads to improvement in clinical practice and quality of service.
