Happy New Year! The division begins 2003 with a stable membership and financial outlook. However, challenges are beginning to appear on the horizon. The best response to them is an active and engaged membership, and my challenge to each of you remains this year as it did last: Encourage one colleague to join us! In the meantime, thank you all for your continued support and participation.
In fact, if I could provide a theme for this year and the Division, it would be Varied Ways of Participation. The Steering Committee has talked at length about ways to involve affiliates of the division in its activities and, at the same time, provide value added for your membership. Several new projects will make their way to the activity of the division that I hope will be ways for more of you to experience the division and benefit from it at the same time.
