As supervisors and educators in the field of speech-language pathology, we are all too aware, sometimes painfully so, of the constant changes that need to be made in order to provide our students with the best possible preparation for their professional futures. As we struggle to develop new and innovative programs, we must be aware of what is occurring in the field of health delivery services. Over the last several years, the importance of training our students to work in interdisciplinary environments has become evident. We have written this article to share our experience of creating and implementing an interdisciplinary educational approach within Northeastern University’s Bouve College of Health Sciences.
