Welcome to the first issue of Perspectives for 2006!
Let’s start with some information about Division business and happenings. We held our first pre-Con-vention conference in San Diego, and it was quite a success! Thanks to our speakers (Janet Brown, Bob Fifer, Ann Kummer, and Elaine Ledwon-Robinson), who addressed topics that affiliates had suggested, including documentation for reimbursement and recruitment and retention of staff. Feedback from participants was most positive, and we are already discussing the Division’s pre-Convention topic for 2006 Convention.
We had an opportunity at the ASHA Convention to recognize Pat Ritter for her contribution to the Steering Committee (SC). Pat leaves after 3 years and countless hours of commitment to the Division. She will continue to assist us as a member of the Editorial Review Board for Perspectives. We welcome Elaine Ledwon-Robinson to the SC. Many of you will remember Elaine’s past work for the Division as CE Administrator.
