As the ethics column coordinator for Division 11, I am pleased to announce a recent addition to the ethics literature in speech-language pathology and audiology: “Ethics for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists: An Illustrative Casebook” by David Irwin, Mary Pannbacker, Thomas Powell, and Gay Vekovius. This text was designed to assist professionals as well as students and researchers in making professional decisions when faced with everyday ethical dilemmas. Although other books within our discipline touch upon ethics in a chapter or two, this text not only summarizes professional ethics related to speech-language pathology and audiology, but provides instruction in the strategies required to make ethical decisions in professional practice and research.
