I am excited to share with you the October 2015 issue of Special Interest Group (SIG) 11, Perspectives on Administration and Supervision! Although this issue contains only two articles, I can assure you that they provide a refreshing and exciting mix of theoretical and clinical information that you will be sure to find helpful in your own practice. This issue begins with an excellent piece that offers an integrative review of literature regarding speech-language pathology (SLP) assistants. Jennifer Ostergren and Sara Aguilar provide us with an international, evidence-based review of the effectiveness of SLP assistants, including pertinent information related to both training and supervision. This article is followed by a second piece in which Holly Smith provides an interesting discussion about clinical supervisors' responsibilities and students' feedback regarding self-evaluation methodologies within clinical education. The reader is provided with information about previously identified methods of self-evaluation in the clinical education context, followed by an evidence-based exploration of the use of video recordings and rubrics by students to evaluate their own clinical work. Both of the articles in this issue are eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEU's). If you are in need of additional CEU's before the end of the year, remember that you are always free to go back to the June 2015 Perspectives on Administration and Supervision to earn up to .20 CEU's with that issue alone!
